In celebration of International Women's Day, Monash alumni and industry leaders gathered at Monash College last night for our annual Monash Women in STEMM event.

Hosted by Monash Engineering, Monash Science, Monash Information Technology, Monash Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and Monash Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, the event brought together alumni and professionals from across STEMM to share experiences, connect and discuss ways to advance gender equity.

Following a keynote from environmental leader Elly Hanrahan, CEO of Global Voices, public health expert Professor Karin Leder moderated a panel discussion with alumnae Dr Catherine Lopes, Chloe Chang and Grace Wong.

Under the theme “Balance the Scales with Monash,” speakers explored barriers women continue to face in STEMM careers, the impacts of climate change on communities, and approaches to create more equitable pathways for the next generation.

The event provided opportunities for networking, strengthening a global community committed to supporting women in STEMM and driving meaningful change across industries.

Our sincere thanks to all who attended and contributed to make this year's event uplifting, energising and impactful.
