Dr. Dattatray Dhawale is a Senior Research Scientist (https://people.csiro.au/d/d/dattatray-dhawale) in the Energy Business Unit at CSIRO, Australia. He has contributed to several multidisciplinary projects at leading institutions, including the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in Japan, The University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia, QEERI in Qatar, and CSIRO in Clayton, Victoria, Australia. Dr. Dhawale brings extensive experience in advanced materials for energy and environmental technologies. His research interests focus on developing efficient nanomaterials for the production and utilization of green hydrogen and ammonia, particularly through electrolysers and fuel cells. He also works on solar cells, photoelectrocatalysis for solar energy conversion, energy storage, and sensors for sustainable development, addressing critical challenges in energy and environmental sustainability. Dr. Dhawale has led several multidisciplinary projects, spanning from materials synthesis to device fabrication and prototype demonstration. He is currently involved in industry-funded and strategic projects. He also supervises PhD students through the CSIRO Industry PhD scholarship (iPhD) program, bringing together an industry partner and a university for impact-driven research. He has published over 85 papers in high-impact journals, with more than 7,000 citations, an h-index of 46, and an i10-index of 69, and holds 4 patents in the field of energy technology.
