Before joining Monash University, I worked as a Lecturer in Soil Water Dynamics at the School of Environmental and Rural Science at the University of New England. Prior to that, I held two postdoc positions at the Department of Crop Production Ecology at the Swedish University of Agricultural Science (Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet, SLU) and the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Philosophy, (Ph.D), Environmental Engineering, The University of Sydney
  • Bachelor's Degree, Civil Engineering (Environmental), The University of Sydney

Expertise

Environmental modelling
  • terrrestrial carbon and nitrogen cycles
  • fate and transport dynamics of agrochemicals.

Other professional services

Editorial board member of Communications Earth and Environment

Research Interests

My research interest lies in understanding the complex feedback between hydrosphere, geosphere, atmosphere, biosphere, and anthroposphere. In particular, I focus on investigating the control of climate and anthropogenic activities on the fate and dynamics of nutrients and contaminants. My research makes use of computational techniques to identify regions susceptible to climate and environmental change at regional, continental, and global scales.
