A/Professor Mehrtash Harandi

Associate Professor
Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering
Room 232, 14 Alliance Lane, Clayton Campus

I joined Monash’s Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering (ECSE) in August 2018. Before joining Monash University, I spent 5 wonderful years at Canberra Research Laboratory-NICTA, working with prof. Richard Hartley and prof. Fatih Porikli. Prior to that, I worked at Queensland Research Laboratory-NICTA with Prof. Brian Lovell.

Having broad interests in machine learning, computer vision, and signal processing, I develop algorithms and mathematical models to equip our machines with intelligence. Visit my personal webpage to get a feel for the research I do.

My Erdos path reads as Mehrtash Harandi -> Richard Hartley -> Marc Kilgour -> Peter C. Fishburn -> Paul Erdos.
