Mr. Qizhe Tang
Mr. Qizhe Tang
Hello! I’m Qizhe (pronounced as “Chee Ger”) Tang, and I’m a new Ph.D. student in Prof. Chris McNeill’s Group. I am interested in the fabrication and characterization of Organic Electrochemical Transistors (OECTs).
I understand that my first name can be a bit puzzling, leading to mispronunciations like “Quizze.” I initially thought it was okay, but it has started to become a source of stress, especially during coursework, as it sounds like “quizzes.” To make things easier, I’ve found a helpful comparison: think of the word “Cheese” for “Chee,” and “Germany” for “Ger.” Combine these with the intonation you’d use when saying “Really?” in disbelief, but instead, say “Chee Ger.” This way, you’ll pronounce my name correctly.
Feel free to call me Geoffrey if that’s easier, but now you know how to say Qizhe accurately. Thanks and looking forward to our interactions!
