Dr. Wenchao Huang
Dr. Wenchao Huang
Wenchao Huang received his Ph.D. from the department of materials science and engineering at the Monash University in 2016, under supervision of Prof. Yi-Bing Cheng and Prof. Chris McNeill. During his Ph.D., his work focused on using synchrotron based X-ray techniques to investigate the microstructure of organic semiconductors and establishing the relationship between microstructure and device physics in organic electronics. From 2016 to 2017, he was employed as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Yang Yang at the University of California Los Angeles, where he worked on highly efficient and stable organic tandem solar cells. In 2017, he joined in Prof. Takao Someya’s group at the University of Tokyo, working on conformable and stretchable organic electronics for biomedical application. He then returned to Monash University in 2018 and he was appointed as an Australian Center for Advanced Photovoltaics (ACAP) research fellow. He has published over 50 papers with 15 as first/corresponding author and received over 3500 citations (from google scholar). Recognitions for his research include 2016 Australian Synchrotron Stephen Wilkins Medal 2015 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Student Abroad.
