Xiaoling Wu received B.E. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Zhejiang University, China, in 2009. The topic of her undergraduate thesis was development of bio-sensor using nano-material. After graduation, she did one-year visiting in Computer Science at University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2010. She received the Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Monash University, Australia, in 2015. The topic of her PhD research was downscaling of soil moisture using airborne radar and radiometer observations in order to provide an accurate and high resolution (better than 10km) soil moisture product with potential benefit in the areas of weather forecasting, flood and drought prediction, agricultural activities etc. She is the research fellow at Monash University and continuing research on remote sensing field. Her research interests include microwave remote sensing of soil moisture, soil moisture downscaling, proximal soil moisture sensing for real-time agricultural applications.
