At the recent ​Engagement Australia Excellence Awards 2025 gala, ​​contributors​ from Australia and New Zealand were recognised for their​ outstanding leadership and influence​.

Outstanding Leadership in Engagement

Dr Changlong Wang, ​Civil and Environmental Engineering. In addition to this award, Dr Wang has received considerable recognition including:

  • Monash University Vice-Chancellor’s “Early Career Researcher of the Year” Excellence Award (STEM) 2025
  • Australian Research Council (ARC) Early Career Industry Fellowship 2025
  • Monash Engineering Dean’s Award for Research Excellence 2024
  • 2024 DCCEEW and CSIRO International Hydrogen Fellowship

He is a Climate Futures Fellow at The University of Melbourne, and an Academic Visitor at The University of Oxford.

Excellence in Indigenous Engagement

"The Cracks in the Ice Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Lived Experience Project"​- a collaboration between The University of Sydney and Monash Engineering's National Indigenous Space Academy (NISA) - Professor Christopher Lawrence.
