Monash Suzhou Cup 2026

Monash University has announced the launch of the Monash Suzhou Cup, an international pitch competition aimed at advancing translational innovations in AI-powered medicine and bioengineering.

Set to take place on 1 June 2026 in Suzhou, the competition will bring together students, researchers and early-stage innovators to showcase cutting-edge solutions across a wide spectrum of healthcare technologies.

Focus areas include machine learning for healthcare, medical imaging, wearable and implantable devices, robotics and rehabilitation engineering, as well as emerging fields such as 3D bioprinting, precision medicine and AI-driven genomics.

Open to undergraduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral participants - including those outside Monash - the Suzhou Cup is designed to bridge research and real-world impact. Entrants are required to submit a two-page proposal outlining their innovation by 10 May 2026.

A total prize pool of 55,000 RMB will be awarded across multiple categories, including a 20,000 RMB grand prize. Beyond cash awards, finalists will gain access to investor pitching opportunities, prototype showcases and potential incubation support, positioning the competition as a launchpad for commercialisation.
