Monash and IWN to showcase world-leading water research

As global water challenges intensify, innovative solutions are more important than ever.

Next week, Monash Civil and Environmental Engineering's Dr Arash Zamyadi will join Mr Jason Cotton, Program Director of Intelligent Water Networks (IWN) at the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) Water Convention.

One of the world's leading forums for advancing water innovation and resilience, they will showcase world-leading results from their ongoing collaborative research into nanobubble technology.

Nanobubbles are rapidly emerging as a promising innovation for enhancing water and wastewater treatment, with potential applications spanning oxidation, aeration, algal control and contaminant removal.

Under Theme 3: Used Water Management, Reuse and Industrial Water Solutions, Dr Zamyadi will chair a workshop entitled "Nanobubbles: A New Frontier in Treatment Performance."

This session will feature a presentation from Mr Cotton "Pioneering nanobubble large-scale trials in the water industry," where he will share insights from utility-scale applications and the lessons emerging from real-world implementation.

Together, Monash and IWN are helping move nanobubble technology beyond the pilot phase towards practical application.

By combining cutting-edge research with operational industry expertise, the partnership is contributing to the next generation of water treatment solutions and reinforcing Australia's leadership in water innovation on the global stage.
