Last year, we shared Associate Professor Sudha Mokkapati's pioneering finger-prick blood test for the early detection of Alzheimer's Disease (AD).
Her simple, hand-held device uses world-first patented sensor technology which can detect ultra low concentrations of disease markers in blood in minutes.
Engineers Australia talked with Associate Professor Mokkapati of Monash Materials Science and Engineering about her research and the advancement of this ground-breaking technology.
She explained “The good thing is all processes we use are currently being used by the semiconductor industry so in principle the manufacturing can be rolled out easily without having to change the current processes too much.”{{ }}
