What to expect
How it works
Monash Student Communities are free to join. There are eight campus-based community groups across our Caulfield, Clayton, Parkville and Peninsula campuses. Each group has around 250 members.
Get involved
Each campus community has its own distinct culture, and we love getting together for events that bring the entire community together (and encourage some friendly rivalry).
Benefits of joining your campus community
Monash Student Communities provide students living off-campus with a range of social and academic benefits, including:
- support and mentorship from community advisers
- exclusive events, including our community dinners
- inter-community activities and competitions – from sporting competitions to social nights
- access to private on-campus common rooms.
More than a student club, our student community groups provide structured mentoring and guidance through dedicated support teams:
- Community advisers: when you become a community member, we’ll assign you an adviser to guide you through your university life. Your adviser is usually a fellow community member who is further along in their university studies.
- Community coordinators: full-time staff members who organise academic, social and recreational programs and activities.
- Community head and deputy community heads: our communities are led by University staff members who provide advice, wisdom and support.
