About Student Conduct and Complaints
Who we are
The Student Conduct and Complaints (SCC) team handles reports of academic and general misconduct, appeals, review of remission of debt decisions and formal (stage 3) complaints. Additionally, we work with faculties, the Safer Community Unit and Monash Security to ensure the safety and wellbeing of Monash students, staff and visitors.
SCC is committed to maintaining an inclusive environment for all members of the University community, and treating everyone with fairness and respect. Through matters raised with us, we can identify and address areas for improvement.
We aim to deal with allegations of student misconduct through a resolution process with these key qualities:
all parties
sensitive issues
appropriate
Reports of misconduct
If your chief examiner or another staff member believes that your alleged academic misconduct is serious, or if they suspect a breach when you’re already on the Academic Integrity Register for a previous warning or finding of misconduct, they’ll send a report to the SCC.
The Safer Community Unit will pass on to the SCC a report of general misconduct (which may be submitted anonymously).
