Hearing augmentation
Monash University has three types of hearing augmentation technology in audio visual spaces. They vary depending on the type and size of the room.
Most large theatre spaces have hearing augmentation built in - either in the form of a hearing loop or Infrared (IR) emitter technology. Rooms with inbuilt IR have receivers for the user located in the room.
Some smaller tutorial rooms have the ability to have an IR emitters and receivers brought into the room. You will need to contact eSolutions on 9905 1777 or visit eSolutions staff located in Monash Connect at least two days before your class, so the emitter can be installed for your use.
