Lead for Impact

Across an intensive two-day program, you’ll take part in interactive workshops, team challenges, and real-world problem-solving activities. You’ll build skills in public speaking, group dynamics and collaboration, while working with other students to design solutions to real challenges faced by first-year students at Monash.

By taking part, you'll help shape something meaningful and walk away with transferable skills that will support you both during your studies and well beyond them. This is your opportunity to build confidence, find your people, and discover how you can create meaningful impact – from your very first year.

Eligibility

Lead for Impact is open to all first-year Monash students commencing their second semester of study – from any course, faculty, or background.

You don’t need to be a high achiever, a public speaker, or someone who’s been in formal leadership roles before. We’re looking for students who are curious, open-minded and motivated to build their confidence, connect with others and contribute to the Monash community.

How to apply

Places in the program will be offered through an Expression of Interest (EOI) form. This will let us foster a diverse and representative cohort of students who can bring different perspectives, experiences and ideas.

We strongly encourage students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds to apply. Creating an inclusive and supportive cohort is central to the Lead for Impact experience.
