Lead for Impact

Lead for Impact is a hands-on, high-impact leadership program for first-year students – an exciting and accessible entry point into leadership development at Monash.

You don’t have to see yourself as a leader to take part in Lead for Impact.

In fact, we know that the word leadership can sometimes feel intimidating or exclusive. But this program is designed to challenge traditional ideas of leadership.

Instead of thinking about leadership as something reserved for positions or titles, Lead for Impact focuses on the practical, everyday skills that enable you to collaborate, communicate and contribute meaningfully to your community. These are the same career-ready skills employers are looking for.

Across an intensive two-day program, you’ll take part in interactive workshops, team challenges, and real-world problem-solving activities. You’ll build skills in public speaking, group dynamics and collaboration, while working with other students to design solutions to real challenges faced by first-year students at Monash.

By taking part, you'll help shape something meaningful and walk away with transferable skills that will support you both during your studies and well beyond them. This is your opportunity to build confidence, find your people, and discover how you can create meaningful impact – from your very first year.
