Home country information sessions
What to expect
You’ll hear from Monash staff and current students about what to expect when you arrive and in your first few weeks, and how to make the most of your new life in Australia. While we can’t provide course-specific advice, we’ll cover the essentials to help you feel confident and ready for the journey ahead.
We’ll revisit key topics from the pre-arrival webinar series too, such as enrolment, accommodation and preparing for life in Melbourne.
You’ll also:
- hear students from your home country talk about their experiences settling in, building community and navigating student life
- connect with student clubs and learn how to stay in touch through events or platforms like Goin’ (which helps you connect with other new students and student leaders)
- join a dedicated parent session where your families are invited to come and speak directly with Monash staff, ask questions and get tips on how to support your transition
- get help planning your orientation and explore ways to find your community through Monash Student Communities (MSC)
- be invited to ask questions during our live Q&A.
Home country information sessions have finished for semester two 2026. Check back in the weeks leading up to semester one 2027 to see the new sessions we’ll be adding to our schedule.
