Join us and get ready for uni

We host pre-arrival information sessions in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore for students starting undergraduate and graduate courses in semester two 2026. These sessions are designed to help you feel confident and prepared to begin your studies here at Monash. We tailored the sessions specifically for our international students, so they offer practical insights into university life, and living in Melbourne.

These in-person sessions are a great way to start building your Monash network, get answers to your questions and feel supported before you even board the plane.

What to expect

You’ll hear from Monash staff and current students about what to expect when you arrive and in your first few weeks, and how to make the most of your new life in Australia. While we can’t provide course-specific advice, we’ll cover the essentials to help you feel confident and ready for the journey ahead.

We’ll revisit key topics from the pre-arrival webinar series too, such as enrolment, accommodation and preparing for life in Melbourne.

You’ll also:

  • hear students from your home country talk about their experiences settling in, building community and navigating student life
  • connect with student clubs and learn how to stay in touch through events or platforms like Goin’  (which helps you connect with other new students and student leaders)
  • join a dedicated parent session where your families are invited to come and speak directly with Monash staff, ask questions and get tips on how to support your transition
  • get help planning your orientation and explore ways to find your community through Monash Student Communities (MSC)
  • be invited to ask questions during our live Q&A.
