All-gender toilets

An all gender toilet door sign, depicting an icon of a standard flush toilet with the words All Gender Toilet and braille translationMonash supports students and staff using toilet facilities that make them feel comfortable.

All-gender toilets are for people of all gender identities and expressions. They provide a space on campus for people who may not feel comfortable or safe using the binary gendered female or male toilets, and work towards making the Monash community more inclusive for all students, staff and visitors. They also benefit parents and guardians accompanying children and people requiring the assistance of a carer, regardless of gender.

To learn more about why we need all-gender toilets, watch this video from students studying Art, Design and Architecture.

Locations

Below are links to dedicated all-gender toilets on Monash campuses. Accessible toilets are also considered all-gender, but we recommend using the dedicated all-gender toilets to allow for those who have accessibility needs.
