Travel arrangements
You should plan to arrive in Australia at least two weeks before the start of your classes. This will give you time to settle into your accommodation and be ready for Orientation Week.
We recommend booking your flight early as it can be difficult to find a flight to Australia at the start of semester. Also, flights can sometimes be more expensive when purchased closer to your departure date.
For discounts on flights and other goods and services, you can apply for an International Student Identity Card.
Arriving on time
It’s important that you’re on campus in time for Orientation Week, but we understand there can be exceptional circumstances that can cause delays.
If you’re concerned about arriving on time, you can message Monash Connect.
If you have accepted your offer and are enrolled in units, you can review learning materials on Moodle to stay up to date with your studies and assessments. Online learning activities aren’t available unless the class is already offered in online or hybrid mode.
If you’re an Australia Awards Scholarship student, you must arrive on time to attend the compulsory Introductory Academic Program. The Australia Awards post in your home country will arrange your flights to Australia. See plan your arrival for details.
