Dr Amanda Davies

Amanda Davies is a Lecturer in the School of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences, and helps teach anatomy and physiology to students in allied health disciplines. She has been passionate about teaching since the start of her PhD in 2011 when she was ”forced” into helping her supervisor teach classes before realising she loved it so much that her focus is now on education instead of clinical research.
Outside of teaching, Amanda has recently begun learning karate, but is also involved in the Monash University Volleyball Club four days a week – a club where she has been a player since 2002 before changing roles to being both a coach and a player for the past 14 years.
Dr Whitney Monaghan

Dr Whitney Monaghan is a Lecturer in the School of Media, Film and Journalism. She knows heaps about film and television and is particularly into queer and feminist cinema, youth culture, and digital media. Bringing all of these interests together, Whitney's research examines contemporary and historical LGBTIQA+ representation in popular culture.
Whitney completed both undergraduate and postgraduate study at Monash and has been teaching at Monash for over 10 years. She currently teaches in the Master of Communication and Media Studies, undergraduate Communications and Media Studies, and in Monash's Global Immersion Guarantee program.
