On arrival, head to the Grand Ballroom Foyer for registration and ticketing.
Graduand seating is allocated. When you register, we’ll give you your tickets for you and your guests. Keep the section with your name and seat number. You have an allocated seat and you’ll need your ticket with you when you enter the hall.
Give the guest tickets to your guests. They will be admitted to the hall upon presentation of their ticket and can choose their own seat in the non-reserved areas.
After registration at the Grand Ballroom Foyer, you’ll be directed to collect your academic dress from the photography and gowning room. Purchased academic dress will also be available for collection from the same location. If you wish to buy your own academic dress, you need to place your order about six weeks before your ceremony.
A graduation ceremony is a formal occasion and you're encouraged to dress accordingly. The graduation gown is a three-quarter-length robe that drapes open at the front, so your clothes will be visible. If you wish to coordinate your clothing with your faculty colours, see faculty colours for academic dress.
You'll be wearing a hood with your academic gown, which drapes over your shoulders from front to back. We recommend you wear clothing with a button to secure the hood.
The cost of hiring your academic dress is included in the ceremony fee. The academic dress company will have a range of sizes available so you don't need to request a size in advance.
Returning your gown
You’ll need to return your academic dress to Ballroom 3 by the required time (see ceremony timelines).
