Attending an Academic Progress Committee (APC) hearing
Purpose of the hearing
If you’re required to attend a hearing, it’s important to be prepared. The purpose of the hearing is for an Academic Progress Committee (APC) to review your academic progress and decide whether you can continue with your studies at Monash.
At the hearing, you’ll get the opportunity to demonstrate that you can successfully complete your course within the maximum course duration.
You’ll need to show:
- that you understand that your academic performance so far is not satisfactory
- that you understand the factors that have negatively affected your academic progress
- the actions you’ve taken to improve your performance, including completing My Progress and Support and My Academic Progress Response
- that you have a viable plan to resolve the problems affecting your academic progress.
