The Monash Student Card is an optional physical card that can be used on and off campus as a form of identification (e.g. at Australia Post, Vic Roads, banks, public transport, student discounts).

The Student Card does not have the same capabilities as the M-Pass (accessing buildings, borrowing from the library, paying for printing and photocopying) or provide benefits beyond those offered by the M-Pass, and so should not be used as a replacement.

The card will contain your legal name, student ID number, expiry date, photograph, barcode and the Monash University logo.

Terms and conditions

By using the Monash Student Card, you agree to these terms and conditions:

1. Your Monash Student Card should not be used by anyone other than yourself as the authorised user.
2. To obtain a Monash Student Card, you must be enrolled at Monash University with a valid Monash email address and digital M-Pass. As this is an optional card, you will be able to arrange a physical Monash Student Card at Monash Connect (located inside Campus Centre).
3. The Monash Student Card will expire in March in the year following your course completion. If you extend your enrolment, please contact Monash Connect to extend the Monash Student Card.
4. Keep your Monash Student Card safe and secure at all times. If either your Monash Student Card has been lost or stolen, please contact Monash Connect.
5. Monash University values the privacy of every individual’s personal information and is committed to the protection of that information from unauthorised use and disclosure except where permitted by law. 6. Monash University does not guarantee that the Monash Student Card will be accepted as a form of identification at all locations.
