International student associations

Each student association at Monash has international student representatives. Elected by peers, the representatives are here to make sure you have a great international student experience by providing advice and fun networking activities.

The student associations offer free and independent advocacy and support for:

  • academic progress and early warning letters
  • disciplinary matters
  • special consideration or alternative assessments
  • final assessment (exam) rights and responsibilities
  • grievances
  • student hearings
  • referring you to services within or external to Monash
  • student/supervisor relationships
  • milestones
  • intellectual property.

Get in touch with your student association – they look forward to hearing from you!

Monash Intercampus International Student Organisation Network (MIISON)

The Monash Intercampus International Student Organisation Network (MIISON) is a committee that brings together the representatives of each international student association at Monash University. If you have any concerns, suggestions or ideas, share them with your international student association – they are there to advocate for the needs and interests of international students at MIISON (and other committees and forums).

MIISON aims to:

  • enable international student leaders across the campuses to meet and share ideas, resources and plans
  • provide a forum where issues impacting the international student experience can be raised and discussed
  • provide a formal communication channel between students and key University staff
  • provide further opportunities for international student representation on University committees.
