An advanced degree to meet advanced industry needs

Monash Engineering has launched a new two-year, full-time Masters degree focused on the frontiers of technology and sustainability.

Designed to meet growing demand in dynamic industry sectors, the Master of Advanced Engineering offers nine specialisations in rapidly-developing areas of engineering practice including robotics, renewable energy, urban systems, medical materials and bioresources.

The degree is offered in two streams, allowing students to focus either on deeper industry experience or to follow a research track through a thesis component.

“Whether you take the industry experience pathway or the research track you can be sure that you’ll be setting yourself up to lead in emerging cross-disciplinary areas of engineering that are vital for our future,” says Professor Chris Davies, Deputy Dean Operations of the Faculty of Engineering.

Students undertaking the Master of Advanced Engineering program will have access to all of the world-leading facilities and opportunities available at Monash’s Clayton campus, including the famous Monash Makerspace where engineering theory and individual creativity are transformed into practical innovation, as well as work integrated learning programs and industry connection initiatives.

Backed by industry, and with industry-funded introductory scholarships available, enrolments for the Master of Advanced Engineering are now open for Semester 2, 2024.
