Moodle activities
Moodle activities are items that allow student interaction or participation, and can support collaborative learning and teaching. Moodle activities can be used to gather student opinions, check their understanding or have them share with each other.
Some Moodle activities have grading enabled. Once created, a grade item will automatically be created in the Moodle Gradebook Setup. Marks and feedback can be recorded and shared with students.
Some Moodle activities allow you to set due dates, deadlines or closing times. This allows you to scaffold learning and structure your assessments throughout the teaching period.
Moodle activities as well as resources should be utilised within the unit page to provide one central location for all unit materials as well as varied learning activities to support the student’s learning experience.

Moodle resources
Moodle resources provide ways to share information - students can read/watch/download information. You can use Moodle resources to share text, images, video, or even external links. You can also use Moodle resources to customise the look of your Moodle unit. All unit materials should be provided via Moodle to ensure easy access for all students.
