New Monash Moodle template
Why do we have a template?
Student feedback has often singled out the design of Moodle units as being confusing, poorly laid out or highly variable. A large group of students learn in Moodle units from across Faculties and the variability in format adds to their learning effort. Students are seeking a format that would make it easier for them to organise their study across all of their units. The new Moodle template is designed to provide a consistent, informative and easy to navigate experience for students across Monash.

The core design for the new Monash Moodle template:
- Divides unit content into themed pages, accessed by tabs at the top of the page.
- Groups assessments for students in the one location.
- Consolidates forums, scheduling details, unit information, and support resources in a single location.
- Organises weekly content across a learning journey that includes own- time, real-time and wrap-up sections.
