ETLab congratulates Dr Robert Lundberg on his successful PhD submission, and new title of Dr!

Robert was PhD candidate in Monash University’s Emerging Technologies Research Lab where his research explored how digital technology is experienced as part of everyday life in public space, inviting urban professionals to rethink their assumptions about the role that digital technology plays in public space

Robert has a particular interest in the relationship between lived experience, technology, and everyday life. This includes the emerging effects of mundane digital technologies, and visual research methods for exploring the momentary and ineffable aspects of the digital everyday. He is also involved in investigations into the future lived experience of public space.

His research is shaped through his professional experience in urban planning and smart cities. Robert has worked across a number of projects in the ETLab during his PhD, including the award winning City Sensing Data Futures project in partnership with City of Melbourne.  Robert is currently tutoring in the School of Design at Monash University.
