Welcome visiting Prof. Shuji Iijima, Kyushu University

We welcome visiting Professor Shuji Iijima from Kyushu University from December 2025-February 2026.

Shuji is a Professor in Cultural Anthropology with a sub-major in Clinical  Psychology at Kyushu University, Japan. He is a community designer with experience in post-disaster design, practised through his work with the Minamata city who experienced mercury poisoning in 1956. Professor Iijima has a long standing relationship with the Arrernte people of Alice Springs of whom he will be visiting during his stay.

Professor Iijima will visit from December 2025- February 2026.
