Monash University releases its Environmental, Social and Governance Progress Report 2022

Monash University has released its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Progress Report for 2022, which documents the progress of work to meet the commitments articulated in the ESG Statement 2021-2025 (PDF, 1,914 KB).

The ESG Progress Report 2022 is the first comprehensive and aggregated annual report on the University’s advances across the priority areas identified in the ESG Statement, spanning research, teaching, campus, gender equality, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, modern slavery, governance, investment and engagement.

Highlights of the 2022 ESG report include:

• 234 publications relating to Sustainable Development Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
• A 22 per cent year-on-year decrease in net emissions across Australian campuses
• 2400 new recurring suppliers onboarded and compliant with modern slavery requirements
• 65 per cent of first-year courses had access to the Global Immersion Guarantee.
