Leap into Leadership Online

Leap into Leadership Online (LiLO) is a series of free, practical and fun modules that develop your employability and leadership skills. You can complete as many modules as you like during any stage of your studies.

Each module takes about one to two hours to complete. There are no formal assessments to hand in.

Have you ever:

  • wished you knew a better way to set and achieve your goals?
  • been unsure about how to apply your skills to workplace scenarios?
  • wanted to enhance your intercultural competence?

These are just some of the skills you can boost with this program.

All current students at Monash can access LiLO.

  1. Choose a topic and get started. Whether it's a subject you know nothing about and want to improve, or a skill set an employer has identified in a job ad, there are plenty of choices – and they're all free.
  2. Work your way through it, at your own pace. Watch videos and complete quizzes in Moodle to progress to the next section. Make sure you read the Welcome and Module instructions before you start.
  3. Submit your answers to complete the module. Once you've submitted your answers, your responses will be reviewed. If you've completed all questions to a satisfactory standard, you'll receive an email confirming that you've completed the module.
  4. Apply your new skills to your studies, work, volunteering and extracurricular activities. Log into Student Futures to record and reflect on what you've learnt. Many modules offer downloadable resources to use in the real world, and you can use these to help explain your skills to future employers.
