Monash community unites at the Chancellor's Walk for Change

The Chancellor’s Walk for Change was held on Friday 17 October at the Monash Sport Precinct, Clayton campus, with hundreds of students, staff, alumni and friends completing more than 2,100 laps of the Tan Track to raise funds for life-changing scholarships.

Thanks to our community’s incredible support, we raised almost $55,000 towards the University’s Kummargi Yulendj (Knowledge is Rising) Scholarship Program. With Monash matching every donation, the total impact more than doubled, exceeding $100,000 to support students in need.

Kummargi Yulendj scholarships provide much-needed support for students who face financial and personal barriers to accessing education, helping to ease the pressure for students juggling study, work and family responsibilities. But more than that – they offer opportunity, hope and the chance for talented individuals to thrive at university, regardless of their background.

To everyone who walked, volunteered, donated or cheered us on: thank you. Your contribution is creating real change in the lives of future Monash graduates.

Thank you again for walking with us. Together, we’re creating a brighter future.
