If we grant you special consideration, you may be able to sit a deferred or supplementary exam.
A deferred exam is an exam that has been postponed to a later date.
If you are unable to sit your exam due to illness or circumstances beyond your control, your faculty may allow you to sit a deferred exam. You must submit a deferred final assessment form (pdf 202kb)
If the faculty grants you a deferred exam, your unit result will display DEF (deferred exam) in WES.
A supplementary exam is a form of additional assessment.
If you fail a unit, your faculty may grant you supplementary assessment. Your units' chief examiner will determine the form of supplementary assessment.
If your faculty grants you a supplementary exam or assessment, your unit result will display NS (supplementary assessment granted) in WES.
Visit your faculty specific supplementary webpage for more information:
If you complete a supplementary assessment, the maximum result you can receive is 50% P (pass grade only).
If we grant you a deferred or supplementary exam, you will have an incomplete result. An incomplete result does not satisfy unit prerequisites. This could prevent you from undertaking some units. Please check your enrolment carefully.
