Study spaces between exams

Do you have time between exams? Take the opportunity to study for your next exam in one of the following locations.

Caulfield Racecourse

The Medallion Bar has been reserved as a quiet study space for Monash Students during the exam period. This study space is on the ground level of the Main Grandstand of the Caulfield Racecourse. It's open from 12–6pm Monday – Friday during the exam period.

On-campus

For all students (open access)

Open Monday – Friday, 7am – 7pm during Swot Vac and exams

Building A: Levels 1–4 Library, open Mon–Fri 8am – 12am, Sat & Sun 8am – 9pm 1500 spaces.

Building B: Level 1 Monash Connect 20 spaces, Level 2 Foyer areas 70 spaces, Level 3 South window seating 30 spaces

Building C: Level 1 140 spaces

Building K: Level 2 Open Mon–Fri 7am – 10pm, Sat & Sun 7am – 7pm 320 spaces

Building S: Level 2 Student Lounge, The Common Lounge and study spaces 20 spaces

Building T: Level 1 Computer labs T125 (open 24/7) 35 spaces

For Postgraduate students (swipe card access)

Open 24/7

Building C: Level 2 Postgraduate Precinct 120 spaces

Building T: Level 2 Computer labs and study spaces 40 spaces

Building H: Basement Syndicate room HB33 10 spaces, Level 1 Postgraduate Lounge H132 35 spaces, Level 2 Syndicate rooms (H224, H225, H231, H232, H233 and H234) 105 spaces and casual seating

Campus library

The Caulfield Library is open during Swot Vac and exams. Newly refurbished, it now has many more seats.

Restaurant and cafes

In addition to the Glasshouse Restaurant at the racecourse, there are several cafes nearby where you can grab a bite to eat while you study. Check Google Maps for some options.

Weather permitting, there are also lots of outdoor spaces both on campus and at the racecourse.

Green Chemical Futures, 13 Rainforest Walk: Foyer, 8am – 6pm, 30 spaces - for science students

Learning and Teaching Building, 15 Ancora Imparo Way: Mon–Fri, 7am – 12am (swipe card access after 10pm), Sat–Sun: 8am – 5pm

Menzies Building, 20 Chancellors Walk: Level 1 South, 7am – 7pm, 50 spaces

Science Learning Lounge, 14 Rainforest Walk: 24/7 (swipe card access) - for science students

For graduate and masters students

Campbell Hall, 21 Sports Walk: Ground floor, Mon–Fri 7am – 6pm, (swipe card access after 6pm), 50 spaces

For PhD thesis students

Holman Hall, 27 Sport Walk: Ground floor, 24/7, swipe card access, 40 spaces

Campus libraries

The Clayton libraries will all be open during Swot Vac and exams. The Matheson Library is open until 2am for extended study on Monday to Thursday, from week 12 until the second week of exams.

Outdoor spaces

Weather permitting, there are also lots of outdoor spaces at Clayton where you can study.
