Access personalised services and information
Our VA on the web and in the Student Portal gives you access to personalised services and information – you’ll just need to be logged in with your Monash University Australia student account.
We regularly add new services, features and information, so it’s a good idea to check back regularly to find out what’s new.
Message us
If you can’t find an answer, MoVA can connect you with a real person through our messaging service. Think of it like messaging a friend in class – you send a message, and they respond when they’re free.
Once someone has responded, you’ll get a notification (if you’re messaging using the Monash Study app) or an email (if you’re using MoVA on the web). And just remember, because it’s messaging, you can return to your conversation at any time!
Tips for using MoVA
When you ask a question, it’s best to use short phrases and keywords. That way the VA will have the best chance of finding the answer you’re looking for. And you don’t need to use perfectly formed sentences (or question marks).
Just try typing questions and phrases like these:
- enquiry status
- how much does parking cost
- when’s graduation
- can’t find my fees statement
- check course completion
- viewing my assessment timetable.
Logging into MoVA
To use our VA, you’ll need to log in and agree to our terms of use (you only need to agree once). This allows us to provide a more personalised service, enhanced security, and to integrate the VA with other Monash apps.
You can log in with a student, staff, guest or social account.
If you have a student account, you should use that to log in so you get full access to our student services and features. You’ll be prompted to select an account when you log in.
Select the Monash University Users option to log in with your Monash University account.
If you can’t log in for any reason, you can use a guest account (but you’ll only be able to access personalised services with a Monash University Australia student account).
If you don’t have a Monash account, you can create a Monash Guest account or log in with any of these:
- Microsoft Personal Account
- Google Account
- Facebook Account
- Apple Account.
Trouble switching accounts?
If you’re having trouble logging in with a different account (e.g. switching from a staff to a student account), follow the steps below.
If this doesn’t solve the problem, contact the service desk – they'll be able to help.
