Unit codes and abbreviations

The timetable systems, Class Timetable and Allocate+, use codes to describe the unit, location, teaching period and class type.

Understanding the unit

The example below shows a timetable entry, which would appear as ATS1326_CA_S2_ON-CAMPUS.

Unit activities

Some activities may be repeated or be part of a series.

Repeated activities

In this example, the same activity occurs three times in the same week:

You would need to select one of the tutorials (e.g. Tutorial/01) and attend it for the entire semester – you can’t switch between classes once your timetable is finalised.

Activities with parts

In this example, the lecture is divided into parts, represented by P1 and P2. You can choose either lecture series 01 or series 02. You’ll then attend each part in that series.

Unit locations

The example below shows a unit location, which would appear as CL_20Chn/W204. The location is Clayton campus, at 20 Chancellors Walk in room W204.
