Little Food Festival returns to Fed Square these school holidays

Monash Education is looking forward to the much-loved Little Food Festival on April 9 & 10. A free, fun and educational event teaching the next generation about growing, cooking and eating healthy food.
This isn’t just any school holiday event–it’s Australia’s only food festival designed just for kids. Through hands-on activities, the team from Monash University will help young minds uncover the fascinating gut-brain connection and explore how the right foods can supercharge their thinking, mood, and health.

Kids have fun while they learn:
- 🌱 Getting their hands dirty planting seedlings to take home
- 🍽 Jumping on on the popular smoothie bike and make banana smoothies
- 🌿 Exploring bush foods and their incredible flavours
- 🎨 Getting creative with interactive food-themed crafts
- 🔬 Discovering the science behind what we eat and how it affects our brains.

When kids understand how food is grown, prepared and shared they can develop a love for it. The way we think about food today shapes the way we eat tomorrow–and that means kids have the power to create a healthier, more sustainable world. Let’s give them the tools to do it. We hope to see you there!
