The aim of this study is to investigate the impact Teaching Educators working with lead teachers and classroom teachers on Stage 2 students’ development of multiplicative thinking. The specific purpose of the study is to conduct a professional learning program within school communities targeting Stage 2 teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge relating to multiplicative thinking. A secondary purpose is to explore the links between current classroom practice and teacher understanding of the difficult transitions in multiplicative thinking.
