High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS) Resources Catalogue
Description
High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS) have emerged from the findings of tens of thousands of studies on what has worked in classrooms across Australia and the world. International experts often rank HITS at the top of strategies that contribute to student learning.
This research project was funded by the Victorian Department of Education and Training to provide teachers with 100 digital examples of all 10 HITS. These open source, research-based examples were curated and catalogued to provide school leaders, heads of departments and primary and secondary school teachers from all subject areas not only with access to each example, but also with alternate use and adaptation points.
In addition, the project delivered four webinars providing more than 1,000 teachers with insights into the theoretical frameworks underpinning the selection and use of different examples during remote and distance learning.
