Global rankings
Monash consistently scores in the top five in Australia in the two major global university rankings systems.
Each of these systems rank the performance of a university but measure it in different ways, with a different emphasis placed on academic performance, research and reputation.

Employability
Monash has practical approach to our teacher education, psychology and counselling courses, with a strong emphasis placed on professional experience and industry partnerships.
The Graduates Outcomes Survey 2019-2021 shows that within four months of completing their teacher education degree, 93.8% of our undergraduates and 94.5% of our postgraduates had found work, both figures higher than the national average.
Research
Our research has consistently been ranked "above world standard" by the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) since 2010. ERA results highlight national research strengths in areas of critical economic and social importance across all disciplines. They also highlight the research strengths of individual universities.
