Placements Plus programs
As part of the Victorian Department of Education’s Placements Plus funding scheme, we are able to offer pre-service teachers with opportunities in this year to complete their professional experiences in one or more of three unique placement programs.
Working in partnership with schools, these programs:
- Expose pre-service teachers to diverse school communities where they can broaden their knowledge and experience of working with students of all abilities and backgrounds;
- Provide pre-service teachers with comprehensive professional experiences that can improve their employability and capacities as future teachers; and
- Enable innovative initial teacher education to be co-designed with and trialled in schools such that the placement experiences for both pre-service teachers and schools are enriched.
Pre-service teachers can apply, or be selected, to undertake placement in one or more of three Placements Plus programs (listed below) over the course of their degree.
The PASS and BCSG placements are eligible for a Victorian Government Pre-Service Teacher Placement Grant (PPG). For SEGC placements, depending on your ciricumstances, you may be eligible for the Commonwealth Prac Payment (CPP).
