Pathways to a research degree
If you do not meet the eligibility requirements for a research degree, there are pathways you could take.
Graduate Certificate of Educational Research - D4004
This course is designed specifically as a pathway to research degrees. The course is for high achievers who want to undertake a research Master's or PhD, but do not currently meet the admission requirements.Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychology - D5002
This course can be undertaken as a pathway to PhD.Master of Education - D6002
This course includes elective units that can be undertaken as a pathway to PhD.Master of TESOL - D6005
This course includes elective units that can be undertaken as a pathway to PhD.

Progression to further studies (if you choose D4004, D6002 or D6005)
You may be eligible to apply for admission to 0079 Doctor of Philosophy if you:
- achieve a weighted average mark of at least 70% and a minimum mark of 70% in EDF5613 Research approaches in education and EDF5614 Research project in education
You may be eligible to apply to be considered for a scholarship if you:
- achieve a weighted average mark of at least 80% and a minimum mark of 80% in EDF5613 Research approaches in education and EDF5614 Research project in education. Refer to the following link for more information on scholarship eligibility.
