Safety and Wellbeing of Early Childhood Education Professionals

Overview

This project explores how pre-service teachers and early childhood professionals understand and experience safety and wellbeing in their work. By examining the everyday realities of early childhood settings, the research investigates how workplace conditions, professional relationships, and organisational practices shape educators' wellbeing and capacity to support young children.

The project involves pre-service teachers, teachers, directors, and pedagogical leaders, exploring how educators experience and navigate safety and wellbeing across diverse early childhood contexts. By examining the challenges, opportunities, and workplace conditions that shape professional practice, the research will inform teacher education, policy, and practice, contributing to safer, healthier, and more supportive learning and working environments for both educators and children.
