Australasia-U.S. Educational Equity Hub
The Australasia-U.S. Educational Equity Hub (AUSEEH) project links scholars, educators, students, policymakers, education systems and Non-Governmental Organizations to advance educational equity in schools and communities. AUSEEH develops and distributes ethical student voice tools to help diverse groups develop their capacity to assess, understand, challenge and address everyday issues of educational inequity.
Vision
"Dare to dream...something will always come of it" ‐ Janusz Korczak
Educational inequity represents critical challenges that hinder the establishment of ethical and stable societies. This includes the loss of human potential, disenfranchisement of numerous groups, intolerance, and polarized civilizations. Ultimately, all contribute to political instability and decreased capacity for social and economic development.
The Australasia-U.S. Educational Equity Hub collaborates with scholars, educators, students, Non-Government Organizations and policymakers to ensure that all young people have an ethical voice, access to quality learning and the ability to create promising educational opportunities.
In AUSEEH, we engage in cross national research, education and action to advance educational equity in schools and communities. We believe this mission is an ethical and collective responsibility and seek to bring together individuals, institutions and communities in working together to realize it. Putting youth voice into practice—developing it as an ethical-foundational skill in the age of disinformation, mal-information and misinformation— we seek to reassess and respond to common challenges of inequity in contemporary institutions and communities.
