Martin LACKMANN (1956 - 2014)
Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (2003 - 2014)
It is with sadness that the Monash community has learned of the passing of Associate Professor Martin Lackmann on Thursday 22 May, 2014.
Associate Professor Lackmann made a substantial contribution to the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology for more than 10 years, during which time he established the Protein Interaction and Cancer Research Laboratory. His laboratory has gone on to make major contributions in his field of research, and his international standing is reflected in how the news of his untimely passing has impacted upon the global research community.
Associate Professor Lackmann was a friend and valued colleague to all who knew him. He exhibited great dedication and integrity, and was always generous and supportive. He will be deeply missed by all. A memorial service will be held at the main chapel of the Religious Centre on Clayton campus at 3:30pm on Friday 13th June for everyone who would like to pay their respects.
