The festival provides opportunities for Year 9 and 10 students to create and perform original work within a supportive and aspirational framework. They are exposed to the widest range of theatre and related professions along with their peers from other participating schools.
This 3 year partnership deal has enabled Drama Victoria to engage an experienced producer as well as allowing participating schools to experience workshops with guest artists, lecturers and Master of Education candidates here at Monash campus.
Our pre-service teachers, on the other hand, have access to a range of resources, regular assistance from the professional producer and the immersive experience of creating a performing arts event. This partnership allows us to provide our students with a hands-on experience that will increase their understanding and appreciation of the diversity of skills involved in live production as well as being part of a large production involving schools across Victoria.
