We are proud to be involved in Saudi Arabia’s National Transformation Plan 2030.
The Faculty of Education has been hosting for the past 3 years over 110 senior Saudi school teachers within the framework of the ‘Building Leadership for Change Through School Immersion’ program. This is an initiative of the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia devised to enhance teaching and learning in Saudi schools.
The project is an ambitious, long-term endeavour with the aim of transforming the knowledge, skills and attitudes of Saudi education professionals as part of Saudi Arabia’s National Transformation Plan 2030. The aim is for the participants to act as change agents when they return to Saudi Arabia, helping the country transition to a knowledge economy. We are delighted to be working with them to further this vision.
The program involves the delivery of an English language component, specialised professional learning workshops by Monash academics and guided school immersion in top performing schools in Melbourne which allows participants to observe classes, interact with teachers and be exposed to new and innovative ways of teaching, learning and engaging with students in Australian schools.
These placements are arranged and overseen by the Faculty and each participant has a dedicated academic mentor to guide them. Our mentoring extends to supporting innovative project ideas that can be implemented in the Saudi teachers’ home schools upon returning to Saudi Arabia.
