Description

Join one of Australia's most respected educators and storytellers, Shelley Ware, for the 2026 Peter Fensham AM Memorial Lecture.

A proud Yankunytjatjara and Wirangu woman, Shelley Ware has spent more than two decades championing First Nations voices across education, sport and the media. Drawing on her experience as a teacher, author, broadcaster and Aboriginal woman, she will share powerful insights into the role education plays in truth-telling, celebration of cultures, traditions and the importance of strengthening belonging and identity while creating lasting change.

Peter Fensham AM Memorial Lecture

The Peter Fensham Memorial Lecture honours the legacy of the late Professor Peter Fensham AM, an internationally renowned science educator whose work transformed thinking about equity, curriculum and the purpose of education. In that spirit, this annual lecture brings leading thinkers to Monash to challenge assumptions, inspire new ideas and advance conversations about education's role in society.
