Secondary teaching area method units
Students in the Master of Teaching or Bachelor of Education (Honours) specialising in Secondary Education or Primary & Secondary Education need to enrol in method units from the list below according to their method areas.
Bachelor of Education (Honours) students
You should enrol in these units in your 3rd or 4th year, as directed on your course map, after completion of your discipline study areas.
Master of Teaching students
You are only allowed to enrol into the method areas which were approved and indicated on your offer letter.
If you would like to change your method areas, you must enrol in the offered method area first to accept your course offer. Following that, please contact your Education Success Adviser to request the change. All requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and will only be approved if:
- you are considered academically qualified to teach the method area according to the VIT guidelines,
- there is room for additional enrolments in the method unit classes,
- the professional placements office anticipate being able to source an appropriate placement for that method area.
