Monash Education ranks second in Australia and into global top 20

Up 12 places to 18th globally - QS world university rankings by subject

Monash University’s Faculty of Education ranks second in Australia and 18th globally in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject, moving into the world’s top 20.

The result marks a 12-place improvement and reflects the Faculty’s growing global reputation and impact, underpinned by excellence in teaching, research and partnerships across Australia and internationally.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject assess universities based on indicators including academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.

Professor Mary Ryan, Dean of the Faculty of Education, said the result reflects both the strength and momentum of the Faculty.

To move into the world’s top 20 and to number two in Australia is a significant milestone for Monash Education. What’s particularly meaningful is what sits behind this result, the depth of work across our teaching, research and partnerships, and the impact that work is having in education systems locally and globally.

This recognition belongs to our whole community, our staff, students, alumni and partners, and it strengthens our position as a trusted and influential voice in education.
