Description

In a time of overlapping political, economic, environmental and technological crises, equity in higher education demands renewed attention. This public event brings together current Monash students and academic experts to explore how permacrisis is reshaping educational access, participation and belonging.

Centred on student voice, this event will feature Monash students sharing their lived experiences of higher education in relation to migration and displacement, linguistic and cultural diversity, financial pressures, and the growing influence of technologies such as artificial intelligence. Their perspectives will guide a wider discussion with academic panellists on the systemic inequities affecting migrant, refugee and international students, and on how higher education can respond more justly and effectively in times of ongoing disruption.
